Privacy Policy

CloudByte Innovations ("we," "us," "our") built Vantage to help you track spending, budgets, savings, and —
for U.S. users — general tax estimates. This policy explains what data Vantage collects, why, and how you can
remove it.
What we collect
- Account information: your email address, used solely for sign-in via Supabase Authentication.
- Financial data you enter or scan: transactions, merchant names, amounts, categories, card
nicknames and the last 4 digits only of your cards (we never collect or store full card numbers, expiry
dates, or CVVs), recurring expenses, budgets, savings goals and contributions, and income sources.
- Receipt and pay stub images: photos or screenshots you choose to upload for automatic data
extraction.
- Tax profile information (U.S. users only): filing status, state, number of dependents, other
income, and deduction preferences you provide, used only to generate the in-app tax estimates described below.
- Conversation history: messages you send in the tax follow-up chat feature, stored so your
conversation persists between sessions.
How your data is used
Your data is used exclusively to power Vantage's own features for you: tracking spending, computing budgets and
forecasts, and (for U.S. users who opt in) generating educational tax estimates. We do not sell your data, and we
do not use it for advertising.
Third-party AI processing. When you scan a receipt or pay stub, or use the tax chat feature, the
relevant image or text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to extract structured data or generate a response.
Anthropic processes this data under its own API terms and does not use it to train its models. No data is sent
to Anthropic except the specific image or message you submit at that moment.
Where your data is stored
Vantage's backend runs on Supabase (PostgreSQL database, authentication, and file storage). Your data is
protected by row-level security policies that restrict access to your own account only. Receipt and pay stub
images are stored in private storage buckets, never publicly accessible.
Your rights
- Access: everything Vantage stores about you is visible within the app itself.
- Deletion: you can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from
Settings → Delete account inside the app. This immediately and permanently removes your
account, all financial data, all uploaded images, and all tax information. This action cannot be undone.

account deletion request page for an alternative way to request deletion.
Children's privacy
Vantage is not directed at, and is not knowingly used by, children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data
from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Vantage changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at
the top of this page.
