What is lead time and why does it matter? +
Lead time is the total time from when a task is created to when it's completed. It's one of the most important metrics in software delivery — teams that track lead time consistently ship faster and with fewer surprises. CloudByte Flow measures it automatically.
Is the free plan really free forever? +
Yes. The Free plan has no time limit and no credit card required. You get 3 boards and 50 tasks per board — plenty to get started. You only upgrade when you need more.
How does real-time collaboration work? +
CloudByte Flow uses WebSocket connections (via Supabase Realtime) to sync changes instantly across all connected clients. When a teammate moves a task, you see it move in real time — no refreshing required. Important: to actively collaborate on a shared board (move cards, create tasks, edit) a teammate must hold at least a Pro account. Free-tier users invited to a shared board can view the board but cannot make edits. This keeps collaboration fair — every active team member contributes to the product they're using.
Can I export my data? +
Yes. You can export any board as a fully formatted Excel workbook (6 sheets: Summary, All Tasks, By State, Criteria, Lead Times, and a Gantt Timeline) or export all boards as JSON. Your data is always yours — no lock-in.
What are completion criteria and task priority? +
Completion criteria are a per-task checklist — define exactly what "done" means for each task. A live progress bar on the card tracks how many criteria are checked off. Task priority (High, Medium, Low) adds colour-coded pills to cards and lets you sort columns by priority so the most critical work is always visible first.
What happens if I cancel my subscription? +
You keep access until the end of your billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan. Your data is never deleted — boards over the free limit become read-only until you upgrade again.
Is CloudByte Flow secure? Where is my data stored? +
All data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security. You can only access your own boards. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe — CloudByte Flow never sees your card details.
Do you offer discounts for annual plans? +
Yes — annual plans are 20% cheaper than monthly billing. Pro annual is $57.50/yr (vs $71.88/yr monthly). Business annual is $153.50/yr (vs $191.88/yr monthly). Toggle the billing switch in the pricing section above.
Can I use CloudByte Flow on mobile? +
Yes. CloudByte Flow is fully responsive with a dedicated mobile layout — fixed bottom navigation, swipeable columns, and sheet-style modals. It works great on phones and tablets.
